Lidl Store Ballysimon Road Development

The scope of this project involved the comprehensive redevelopment of the existing greenfield site located on Bloomhill Road, Ballysimon for LIDL Ireland. The construction works on site included the construction of a single storey Lidl store including off license with gross floor area of 2,205 sq.m as well as roof mounted plant and solar panels. (Net retail area: 1,408 sq.m). Works also included the provision of pedestrian and vehicular access, 172 no. car parking spaces including 6 no. disabled bays, 6 no. family bays, 142 no. cycle spaces, public realm area with street furniture, site landscaping, public lighting, boundary treatments, ESB substation (24 sq.m), external bin storage areas (56.5 sq.m) and all other site development works and services ancillary to the shop development. The associated site works include a storm connection to the existing watercourse at the northeastern boundary, a wastewater connection to the existing wastewater network below the adjacent road, a water supply connection to the existing water network below the adjacent road, vehicular and pedestrian access points together with proposed boundary treatments, landscaping, public lighting, ESB and telecommunication networks, bin storage & bicycle storage etc. to serve the development.
